Can you just call Rockwell Tech Support and have them send you a new disk? If it is the Key Disk itself I don't know that you can repair the disk without altering the special format of the disk. If it finds the master disk then it lets the software load. That way when you start the RSLogix software it will first look to the hard drive for the activation and then if it doesn't find one, it will look to the floppy drive for the master (Key) disk. To use the Key Disk itself to activate the computer you can just go find the file rocksoft.ini and add (or change) the line keydisk=true. If it is the activation on the hard drive then you can just reset the Key Disk over the internet at or even just use the disk itself to activate the computer. Is it the Key Disk that went bad or the activation on your hard drive? My Rockwell activation key has gone belly up and does anyone know if there is a way to repair it?
